It is the mission of the East End Jewish Community Council to serve as an advocate for the needs of the Jewish communities on the East End of Long Island, and to support and further efforts to promote Jewish identity and continuity. Toward these ends, we seek to support and strengthen opportunities for lay leadership and rabbis to meet and address local Jewish and community needs and issues.

It is our goal to encourage mutual understanding and respect among people of all faiths and beliefs. We therefore seek to combat anti-Semitism and all forms of prejudice and discrimination, particularly within the Council's local geographic area.

We endeavor to enrich the cultural and religious experiences of all Jews, and we seek to explain Jewish culture and practices to all, in order to improve the communal, cultural, educational, religious and social welfare of people everywhere.

The Council works with both member and non-synagogues, and with the Jewish community-at-large, to promote their functions, programs and activities, and to expand their memberships.
